Join-Signup Form
First, before you actually fill out the form, we need to explain exactly how to fill it out. Below is a copy of each query, and options you might have to select and put in there. I strongly suggest you read all about the society, jobs, love, etc. before you complete the following 2 pages.
Name: Enter your own FIRST name, or make up one. This will be your identity. Just the name part, not a title. Hopefully we can tell by your name whether you are a lady or not, and please indicate. Once you are accepted/assigned with a title, your name on Virtual Places will appear as: Title_YourName, most often. However, if you wish to sport your VP family's last name, then it would be either Title_LastName, or FirstName_LastName.
I Would Like To Apply For: You have a number of options, and you can check as many as you'd like. However, if you select SERF, THAT IS THE ONLY JOB YOU CAN HAVE. However, you may become, for example, a knight's and artisan's apprentice. What you select are not the actual masterships, but you are rather applying for an apprenticeship. Here's a short summary on what you will do in each apprenticeship available on list:
-Knight: learns proper conduct (chivarly), how to act and know their place at council meetings, put an end to random disputes on every chat page, (virtual) joust, use a sword, and is then tested in a tournament. Fun, respected, and takes only time when apprentice and during council meetings as a master.
To become a master, he is required to beat another apprentice in tournament, if there are still available positions as a master. If there aren't, they he must defeat another master (usually the newest) for their spot. Once he is tried 3 times, he must re-start his apprenticeship with another master and if fails again 3 times, loses his option to be a knight and must take on the job of a middle class citizen or peasant.
-Soldier: learns conduct, how to know and act their place at council meetings, and fights for their province/empire on Age of Empires II: Age of Kings, which is a program they must have previously purchased before signing up. Rarely works during probably the first year of Imagine, but tournaments are set up in which they may compete in and become champions.
-Mage: Learns how to act and know their place at council meetings, help put an end to random disputes in chatrooms, (virtually) fight with magic using gestures and many worded (typed) techniques. Fun, mostly respected, and doesn't take up too much time, considering payment.
To become a master, they must beat another apprentice (if availbilities as masters). If all 10 spots are taken, then you must defeat another master (usually the newest) for their spot. Once failing in battle 3 times, you must re-start your apprenticeship with another master, if availabitilies as apprentice. You are then tried again at the end of the apprenticeship, and if failing 3 more times, then you are not allowed to ever become a mage in that paticular province or place, though you may try in others. You must accept the job of a middle-class citizen or peasant.
-Soldier: Learns how to act and know their place at council meetings, helps put an end to random disputes in chatrooms, and uses Age of Empires II: Age of Kings (must be pre-purchased) to fight against others for their province/kingdom. Doesn't do much probably in the first year, but games are often held for fun.
-Banker: Is tested with many "worded" mathematical equations and shown how to put together reports showing statistics on each member. Difficult and time-consuming. Often respected as wise, and earns quite a few merit points.
To become a master, he must construct an example page showing what a person may have earned in merit points, and how many more they need for such and such position, in checkbook-like form (with tables).
-Artisan: Is asked to create an av to be accepted for apprenticeship. If done extremely well, instanteous mastership. If not so well, but can be helped, given a number of tasks/tutorials to complete in graphics. If done exceedingly well, then permitted to be tested.
To become a master, you must create a master avatar graphic with a tutorial (optional) on how-to-do-it with visual aids. If pleasing enough, you are accepted.
-Scribe: Is first asked to write a news article of their choice. If done beyond mastership standards, instantaneous master. If not so well, but can be helped, given a series of tips on writing to help them write better. They will then be asked to write another article, in hope of becoming a master.
To become a master, you must write an article on one of the events in Imagine. If you don't know which to write about, a few options will be given. If approved, you will become a master and it will be featured in the next newspaper.
-Minstrel: Is asked to make a joke, tell a story (may be copied out of a book, but in your own words) or make/find a gesture we like and have never heard before. If liked a lot, then you become an instant master. If not, you are permitted to try again one last time, as is there is no apprenticeship. If we like the next one, then you become a minstrel.
-Serf: No apprenticeship or job required. If being a serf, then can have no other job. You can also set up your own farm (html document explaining who you are and about your farm), and if suitable, receive merit points each month if liked and updated frequently.
Housing: Here insert the address of the place you wish to purchase. The available provinces sporting housing are: Imagine (at large) and Death Star Valley. Remember: THE FIRST HOUSE YOU CHOOSE WILL BE CONSIDERED YOUR OFFICIAL HOME. This does not mean it is your permanet house, but it is your permanet community. If you choose a house at Death Star Valley, for example, then you would be considered apart of THAT community, therefore, you would receive special updates just from them. Depending on your rank, you will be able to choose what type of house you live in, and how many items you can store there. You might want to start off with a hut/farm (for serfs), because you don't know what type of job you will receive later on. You can later just dispose you old house and advance to a townhouse or mansion or such if your rank allows. You have a choice of the following house for the following ranks:
-Hut/Farm.1 room, holds 1 person. Serfs
-Apartment. 2 rooms, 2 people. Artisans, minstrels, scribes
-Townhouse. 3 rooms, 3 people. Bankers, knights, mages, soldiers.
-2-Story House. 4 rooms, 4 people. Guild leaders, paladins, generals, arch mages.
-Mansion. 6 rooms, 6 people. Council members, barons, baronesses.
-Castle. 8 rooms, 8 people. High Council Members, dukes, duchesses, prince, princesses (unless living with parents)
-Palace, 10 rooms, 10 people. Emperor and Empress.
Family: Here's your chance to use the info you read about in "The Classes-Explanation." If you would like to go ahead and start your own peasant family, here's your chance. Think of a creative last name, that will proabably relate to your future career, for example, Your Name Braveheart, Magicmaster, Wisewren, Jokester, or Artflower. If you wish to join another later, leave this blank. If you already have an idea of one(s) you would like to join, enter those also.
Now you're ready to fill the form in, finally! I know, I know, so much to explain! I hope you read everything, and agree by the one following rule:
*Respect yourself and others. Don't lie, cheat, change or add identities, etc.
If you agree by the above terms, click here to continue. If not, send a query to the council.
